Hazard
Pay is the second sequential art collaboration
'twixt EM Lee and myself. We've both been long-time webcomic
fans, and have long dreamed of sowing our own stories on the
fertile fields of the Intarwebs. Our first project, Paradise
City, was a grand epic of startling vision that
rapidly ground to a halt when we both realized we'd bitten off
far more than we could chew. Frankly, we found ourselves intimidated
by the both story and setting, woefully unable to make our results
match our vision.
After
several months of painful effort with precious little to show
for it, we concluded that it was time for a change of tack.
Something smaller, simpler, more compact, but still packing
a good one-two punch. Something efficient. Something concise.
Along
the way, we hope to use this story to hone our artistic and
linguistic skills to the razor's edge needed for larger, more
ambitious projects like Paradise City.
In short, this one's for practice.
We
still hope to knock your socks off, though!
